From the North, the easiest route for you is via the A1, then the A14 (towards Huntingdon/Cambridge). Follow the A14 for about 7 miles until you see the sign for Hemingford Grey, shortly after the exit for Hemingford Abbots and its golf course.
You’ll then drive along a narrow, country road into the village. Keep on this until you reach the crossroads at the High Street. Turn right and then immediately left, and you’ll see the gates of Hemingford Grey House ahead of you. Turn right when you go through these to park your car.
From the South, there are 2 routes:
Via the A1. Turn right at the intersection of the A14, and then follow the directions above, "from the North".
Via the M11. Just follow this motorway which turns into the A14 at Cambridge, heading towards Huntingdon. After about 12 miles, take the A1096 exit to St Ives and follow the road round and over the flyover. The road bends left as you cross the flyover, and then right again, past a lorry park layby. Just after this bend (approx. 400 yards from the flyover) turn left into Marsh Lane and follow the road for about 1 mile into the village. When you reach the High Street, turn left, then right into Church Lane. The gates of Hemingford Grey House are at the end of the road, just before St James Church.

By train
If you’re coming by train, the nearest station is Huntingdon. Fast trains from London’s Kings Cross take about 50 minutes, and you’ll usually find taxis available at the station. If you want to make sure of this, let us know what time you’re arriving and we’ll organise it for you. Alternatively, you can ring one of the local taxi companies, such as Steve’s Taxi & Private Hire (01480 413222 or 455111).
By plane
The closest airports are Peterborough & Conington Business Aerodrome (private planes only), Cambridge and Stansted. You can also fly to one of the London airports. If you’d like to travel by taxi from the airport, let us know and we’ll arrange this for you at a special rate. Alternatively, if you have guests that need a special or VIP service, tell us in advance and we’ll collect and return them to the airports for you.
By helicopter
If you’re intending to fly in by helicopter, there’s plenty of room in our grounds for you to land. Simply talk to us in advance.
