Tips for your Conference
We will be on hand to provide you with support and advice during the duration of your event, for example on the technical aspects e.g. visual aids. But here is some guidance to help you prepare:
Tip 1: Rehearse
Rehearse, rehearse, and rehearse. If you want your conference to run smoothly; if you want to ensure that your colleagues are impressed with your event; if you want them to recall the message (and not the time the projector fell on the floor when you muddled up the leads!) then this is essential. For example, rehearse the use of video projection. Linking up to a video projector is not difficult - but you just need to know how to do it! Rehearsal helps you avoid glitches, as you can never be 100% certain how things will go until you have rehearsed.
Tip 2: Visit Hemingford Grey House Conference Centre
This goes along with the first tip, but even if you're not using technical equipment, if you're not the one that booked the event and haven't had a change to visit us yet, then a quick trip to the venue where you will be holding your conference or training event is always a good idea.
Tip 3: Do you have delegates with special requests?
It is always helpful to know if there are delegates with special dietary requirements - so that we can make sure everyone is catered for. Likewise, should you have any other special requests or needs, it is always good to give the venue as much information as you can in advance, so that everything runs as smoothly as possible.
